Bringing hologram education to today's classrooms

Tips, tricks, and educational discounts

Our Hologram Kits have been used in classrooms ranging from grade school to Harvard Physics labs. Verizon Innovative Learning Labs and Project Lead the Way use our kits to teach over 800 kids ages 8-12 how to make their own holograms during their summer program - on one day! And we want to help you do it in your classroom!

Start with our base Hologram Kit system that makes incredible laser holograms in minutes. Additional modular upgrades can be added to make white-light holograms, larger size holograms, and even full-color holograms.

And with the self-developing hologram film plates there are no chemicals, no mess and no waiting for the holograms to develop.

Just expose your hologram and view! Making holograms has never been this easy.

The kit sets up on any sturdy table, countertop, or desk and takes up less than a square foot of space. Full set up is quick, and making holograms takes only minutes. When you are done it all fits back in the box until your next hologram-making session.

Hologram STEM Outreach

Middle School Hologram Program

Members of HRL's Women's Technology Leadership Group run a hologram workshop sponsored by Expanding Your Horizons, a nonprofit organization that promotes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education for girls.

With 30 workshops each including 15-20 students, the LitiHolo Hologram Kit has helped connect these girls with a hands-on hologram experience they will remember!

Hands on Holography at MIT

MIT Yearly IAP Hologram Course

Hands on Holography is a course offered during MIT's Independent Activities Period (IAP). In this course participants learn all about what makes a hologram a hologram, and even make their own with LitiHolo hologram kits and hologram film!

MIT IAP provides members of the community (students, faculty, staff and alums) a month-long opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, including but not limited to how-to sessions, forums athletic endeavors, lecture series, films, tours, recitals and contests.

How 3D Holograms Work

From Physics Girl

Here's one of the best primers on holograms that we've seen, from Physics Girl Dianna Cowern and PBS Digital Studios. We also like how she takes on Hologram Tupac. Watch out Hologram Whitney Houston!

While the topic of holography covers optics, physics, interference, diffraction, and the wave nature of light, we all know that learning can mean so much more when it is hands-on! Making holograms brings all these topics to life and creates a teaching moment that won't soon be forgotten.
