3D Hologram Printer Tools for Digital Holograms

Meet the two new LitiHolo tools for making digital holograms with your 3D Hologram Printer!

First (above), is a tutorial and walk-through of the LitiHolo Render Tool (“Renderizer”) to create the perspective images needed for printing holograms with your 3D Hologram Printer from models on Sketchfab (millions of 3D models available, or create your own account and upload your own models from your favorite 3D software or CAD programs).

And then…

With the perspective images generated for your hologram, here’s a tutorial and walk-through of the LitiHolo Hogelizer software tool (downloadable when you purchase your 3D Hologram Printer) used to convert those perspective images into the final hogel images for printing holograms with your 3D Hologram Printer (“hogel” is a term coined at the MIT Media Lab, and is a “hologram element” in the same way that a digital display is made up of “pixels,” or “picture elements”). The hogel images are ultimately loaded to your 3D Hologram Printer, and are exposed one at a time onto the LitiHolo self-developing hologram film, creating your digital hologram in all its 3D glory.

With these tools, you can turn any 3D computer graphics into an amazing 3D hologram.

Holograms of real objects and hologram portraits

Of course, the 3D Hologram Printer can also create holograms of real objects and even hologram portraits as well. In that case, the perspective images are captured directly with a video moving around the object instead of the Renderizer simulating this process for a 3D model. The captured perspective images are fed into the Holgelizer in exactly the same way.

Keep checking back here at the LitiHolo Blog for more hologram resources, and also make sure you take a look at our Hologram Kits for making your own analog holograms, in addition to our 3D Hologram Printer for making your own digital holograms.

Make sure you sign up for our LitiHolo email list to be alerted when more hologram resources and blog posts come out. Thanks for helping to grow the Hologram Community, and for supporting LitiHolo. Make more holograms!
